Count every real compaction
ContextBar counts only valid Codex compaction events, so messages or tool output containing similar text do not inflate the number.
Follow the task in view
The menu bar follows the most recently focused Codex main window. You do not need to find logs or select a session.
Pause only what changed
If a data structure changes, ContextBar pauses the affected metric and keeps retrying instead of presenting misleading values.

The current version works entirely on your Mac. It has no analytics, accounts, advertising, or network service.

You choose the folders
The Mac App Store version reads only the two local Codex folders you explicitly authorize.
Values stay on-device
Parsed values remain in memory. ContextBar does not build a conversation or activity database.
Conversation text stays untouched
User messages, model responses, tool output, and authentication files are not parsed, stored, or displayed.
